Preparing Training Fields for the World's Biggest Stage

2026 FIFA World Cup — National Team Training Site

Arizona Athletic Grounds | Mesa, Arizona

WCR Agronomics played an integral role in the agronomic preparation and management of professional soccer training fields at Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa, Arizona, which were used by a national team participating in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Working alongside the facility's grounds management team, WCR Agronomics helped develop and oversee a comprehensive turf management program to prepare the playing surfaces for four weeks of international-level training.

The program included turfgrass establishment, aerification, sand topdressing, customized fertility programs, irrigation management, and ongoing monitoring of turf health and playing surface conditions.

The project required detailed planning, consistent agronomic oversight, and close coordination with facility personnel to prepare and maintain high-quality playing surfaces throughout the team's training period.
